What is a KBLOG ALERT?
Interesting, exciting and timely educational material often catches my attention. This includes upcoming webinars and science competition announcements. I have gathered many teaching tools from participating in webinars and I feel, as I will blog about them later, that science competitions should be a part of the life of students. When I do find any time-sensitive material relevant to helping educators and their students I will pass those on in my KBLOG ALERTS

Check out the Cooper Hewitt Design Challenge. It is a USA competition open to teens ages 13 through 19 who are in high school or home schooled. Students can enter individually or as a team of up to three people. More information will be released on January 3, 2023.
βThe 2023 National High School Design Competition challenges high school students around the country to use design and data to support their community. The data can come from an official source, or you can collect information by talking to people or observing the world around you. Be ambitious, innovative, and bold! Create a sketch of your idea and describe how your design addresses the challenge. Review how to enter and use these resources to start thinking like a designer!β
